Get to Know Our Owner and Experienced Project Consultant

Almost 20 years ago, while in college, I was introduced to carpentry by chance. I picked up what I thought at the time would be a side job between semesters. I didn't realize that I was about to stumble onto something that would end up being the most passionate skill I would ever acquire.

Fast forward to the present day - I've built some of the most beautiful things I never thought I'd be able to craft with just my two hands. Along the way, due to the struggling economy years ago, I enlisted in the U.S. Army. But I never stopped building and running my carpentry business.

About four years ago, after being out of the service for a few years, my body had gotten to a point where it couldn't hold up to that line of work anymore. Years of building, coupled with my time in the service and several surgeries, I knew I had to give up building as a profession.

DIY Consulting was born out of an attempt to keep me tied to carpentry and getting to work with people. Two things I'm most passionate about. Getting the chance to help clients bring their vision of a project to life while using my experience to guide them through it has become as gratifying as if I had built it myself.
